  • Result: 2-1 (19-17 MIRAGE, 12-16 OVERPASS, 19-16 ANCIENT)

After an intense and nerve-wracking late-night marathon battle against Apeks, our Counter-Strike main team is now ready for the semi-finals in the online tournament Brazy Party 2023.

‍Your pick, my win?

Apeks’ pick, Mirage, was a nail biter and ended up in overtime. A solid team effort secured an 19-17 win with Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz (32 kills) and Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander (6 opening kills and the highest rating of 1.33) topping the charts.

Everything was lined up for a 2-0 win, as the second map was Overpass, on which the team had not lost for more than 3 months. It didn’t go exactly that way as Apeks simply dominated the CT side, and despite a valorant effort and a remarkable defensive Astralis-performance, Apeks closed out the map with a 16-12 scoreline.

Overtime with everything on the line

Going into the third and final map, Ancient, Apeks’ Joakim "Jkaem" Myrbostad kept the momentum and the 29-year-old Norwegian was exceptionally effective on the T-side. However, “gla1ve” and co. were alert and mounted a comeback from a 3-8 deficit, bringing the score to 7-8 and making the match open for the second half.

Trailing 12-14, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer led his teammates in a fantastic comeback, forcing the deciding map map into a nerve-wracking overtime. Thanks to the exceptional performance of our more experienced players, “dev1ce” (30 kills), “blameF (28 kills), and “gla1ve” (26 kills), the team secured a 19-16 win, ultimately earning a 2-1 series victory.
