The main team faced Passion UA in a decisive best-of-three matchup at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR B. With a 2-2 record in the Swiss system, everything was on the line for the Danes as they fought to secure their ticket to the Shanghai Major. However, despite a spirited effort, the squad heartbreakingly lost 0-2, marking the end of their journey.
Inferno, the team's map pick, opened with promise as the Danes secured the T-side pistol and converted the first rounds. An early battle for rounds saw the score tied at 3-3, but the team demonstrated resilience by exploiting the A-site defense with pistols and mounting successful B hits, entering halftime at a tight 6-6.
A phenomenal 2v4 post-plant by Victor "Staehr" Staehr and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard in the pistol round kickstarted their CT side. However, struggles against eco rounds and late-game mishaps sealed the map for Passion UA at 9-13.
On Ancient, the squad showcased fighting spirit, with the CT side opening strong by winning the pistol and converting. However, seven unanswered rounds left the Danish quintet trailing 5-7 at the half.
T-side resilience brought them back to a 10-8 lead, fueled by Br0's brilliant 4K on the B-site to secure the 10th round. The team edged closer with another successful B-site hit, but an overtime-forcing 1v3 slipped through their fingers, leaving the final score at a crushing 11-13.
While the journey to the Shanghai Major ends here, the Danish roster showed true grit and determination, even in the absence of star AWPer Nikolaj "device" Reedtz.
