Astralis CS coach Danny 'zonic' Sørensen has been nominated at Game Awards as the Esports Coach of the Year 2020. This is the second year in a row zonic is nominated as Coach of the Year in his field, in 2019 he won the same title at Esports Awards.
2019 was a big year for the legendary Counter-Strike coach, apart from winning Coach of the Year, Danny was also inducted in the Danish Esports Hall of Fame as the first person ever.
- I don't know if I'll win the titel this year, but just knowing that people are noticing all the hard work we are doing means a lot to me and to us. I would like us to win a few more titles before the end of the year, so we can finish strong and have a good start to 2021, where a lot of exciting challenges and tournaments await, the coach comments.
Danny 'zonic' Sørensen is the only Counter-Strike coach who is nominated for Coach of the Year. He is nominated alongside:
Fabian 'grabbz' Lohmann, G2 (League of Legends)
Dae-Hee 'crusty' Park, San Fransisco Shock (OverWatch)
Lee 'Zefa' Jae-Min, T1 (League of Legends)
Raymond 'Rambo' Lussier, Dallas Empire (Call of Duty)
We're extremely proud of zonic's achievements and are excited to see him nominated two years in a row.
