Today, we announce the completion of our roster with the signing of Luna “ManeschijnX” Akkermans, and the Dutch player is more than ready for the challenge:
- First of all, I’m really happy to be part of Astralis and to join the team. It is a great challenge, and I look forward to taking the next step with this group of amazing players.
- I’m very confident with the team and the set-up, and I can’t wait to get started ManeschijnX comments.
Also, this is the first season with our new coach Søren “zibron” Geertsen. He has been working with the team for a little over a month now, and he looks forward to the first match but also working with the new line-up:
- In ManeschijnX, we have secured ourselves a very skilled player who has already shown her dedication to the team and the work to improve in all areas. In terms of work ethics and preparation, she reminds me a bit of blameF from our men’s team. She is a very good fit for the playing style we want to practice, says zibron.
- Our goal is to qualify for ESL Impact in Dallas, and the first step is tonight, where I expect a win. Our focus right now is on having solid overall performances rather than just on the results of the individual games. However, we ultimately want to make it far as a team. I see exciting potential in this group, and I strongly believe in the players and the work we all put in, zibron concludes.
Thursday evening, ESL Impact League Season 3 kicks off, and for Astralis, the first match is at 7:30 CET against MVP. The game against MVP can be watched on several different streams; our Danish audience can watch on twitch.tv/bedyhr.
