It was a deja vu feeling regarding the veto, as the same three maps were chosen in yesterday's 2-1 victory against BetBoom. Unfortunately, it didn't go our way today. The Danes were defeated 1-2 vs. The Mongolz after a thriller of a match.
MongolZ has been in good shape recently and surprised the Danes on Nuke with a 7-13 victory. Their Nuke CT side was powerful, and so was Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch, who delivered a 1v3 clutch at a crucial point in the match.
Mirage began very even, but after the game was tied 3-3, Martin "stavn" Lund got unleashed. He achieved a 19-4 K/D after the first 12 rounds and continued to dominate in the 13-6 victory.
The word momentum is probably the best to describe the first 24 rounds on Ancient. The MongolZ started with four rounds, then the Danes gained a lead after winning five rounds in a row and somewhat continued in the second half, too.
As if a single overtime in the quarter-final against BetBoom wasn't enough, we got three overtimes on the deciding map. We had backs against the wall four times, and we converted three of them, but The Mongolz clinched the last to gain a spot in the Grand Final.
