The Main team kicked off the Round-robin (BO1) Group Stage of YaLLa Compass 2024 with a dominant 13-6 win over Heroic on Nuke in the Group A opener.
Third time's the charm, as they say, with our Danish lineup finally beating Heroic on the server this year—and what a crushing defeat it was for our first opponent in the group stage.
The last two encounters (at the Europe RMR B and Katowice Play-in) didn't result in wins—both times on Mirage—but this time, on Nuke, a map we're currently excelling on, head coach Casper "ruggah" Due's troops didn't leave much to chance.
Now, the Danish opponent Sashi Esport awaits in our second match in Group A.
Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and co. put on a dominant showing on the CT side, kicking off the BO1 duel by winning the pistol round and making it 9-3 before switching sides.
In the latter half, Heroic won the first three rounds, but with a four-round winning streak afterward, our roster quickly closed out the fight, leaving Heroic no chance as they struggled to keep up on the scoreboard.
