The Counter-Strike talent team continues to impress with strong results and performance. Although they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the semi-finals against Monte, it's worth noting that the young talent line-up gave a remarkable overall performance in the online tournament CCT Central Europe Series 6.
On April 30th, the talent squad played an evenly-matched game against the solid Ukrainian team, 22nd-ranked globally, ultimately forcing the semi-final into a third and decisive map.
The players gave their best to defeat the Monte squad, who will soon compete at the Legends Stage of the Paris Major in 2023.
Four-time Major winner, Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, went above and beyond to help his young team mates make it to the final as he pulled off an incredible 31 kills and a rating of 1,63 in the last map of the game, Ancient. He topped the charts with the most kills, the most damage dealt (113,6), and the highest amount of first kills (7).
Unfortunately, despite the efforts, the team couldn't secure a victory and ended up on a solid 3/4th place in the tournament. Monte prevailed with a scoreline of 16-12 in Ancient, resulting in a 2-1 win overall.
The talent team's next event is Tuesday, May 2nd, where they will encounter 9 Pandas in BetBoom Playlist Freedom 2023. The $150,000 online tournament runs from May 1st to May 31st, with 22 teams participating.
