The groups and initial matchups for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 RMRs are revealed as the Danes face a familiar opponent.
The European RMR is split into two groups consisting of 16 teams, where the seven best teams from each group qualify for the Major in Shanghai.
Out of the 14 qualified European teams, the top eight advance directly to the Elimination Stage of the Major. The remaining teams will begin in the Opening Stage.
Casper "cadiaN" Møller and his troops face the 42nd ranked team in the world, according to HLTV, 9 Pandas.
The two squads' former match was at the Last Chance Qualifier at the European RMR for the Copenhagen Major earlier this year. Unfortunately, 9 Pandas won the match and eliminated the Danes from the tournament.
The Danish quintet hopes for redemption when they meet in the best-of-one opening match.
It's tough competition in the RMRs, where top teams like G2, Spirit, and Eternal Fire are placed in Group B alongside Astralis.
NAVI, Vitality, FaZe, and MOUZ are some teams housing in the RMR A, where the mayhem begins on November 17.
