On Wednesday, June 21st, Astralis participated in the official grand opening of this year's major special exhibition at the Royal Danish Library, The Black Diamond, focusing on video games as cultural heritage and the history of Danish video games.
It was a great honor to be part of the official opening, which took place in the afternoon with several hundred guests, including the Danish Minister of Culture, Jakob Engel-Schmidt (M), who gave a brief opening speech on that occasion.
In his speech, the Minister of Culture highlighted the significant development that esports, in particular, has undergone in recent years.
The exhibition #DKGame Screen Trolls, Assassins, and Train Surfers at the Royal Danish Library has dedicated a whole section to Astralis' history and the remarkable sporting achievements our Counter-Strike team has accomplished since the organization was founded in 2016.
We are proud to be part of Denmark's largest exhibition on gaming and esports so far.
That's why we have also made our biggest trophies and iconic jerseys available to the Royal Danish Library for the next six months.
We were naturally delighted and proud within the organization when the Minister of Culture emphasized in his speech that esports is no longer just a part of Danish business and cultural life but is now recognized and, above all, accepted as part of the community.
