We suffered a 2-0 defeat against Nigma Galaxy in our final Group Stage match of ESL Impact League Season 3 Europe.
Our journey in the tournament started on March 9, when we faced MVP, now known as Spirit fe. The match went the distance by getting decided on the third map, Overpass.
Some excellent performances by aurora and kezziwow were needed for us to close the map 16-12 and take our first win in the league.
So far, so good. A week later, we met BIG EQUIPA, which didn't go as planned. The mainly Portuguese team was a tough opponent as they gathered their second victory with a 2-0 score.
We got beaten by BIG EQUIPA on Anubis, but during our next match against NIP Impact, we made an insane comeback. After a struggling 3-12 CT half and our opponents winning the second pistol round, the victory seemed out of reach - at least for the spectators.
Thanks to our newest addition to the team, ManeschijnX, who reached a 1.89 rating in the second half, and the rest of the squad, the comeback mission succeeded.
Unfortunately, we didn't continue the winning streak as NIP Impact won the two following maps, claiming the victory 1-2.
Our next challenge was against Aces, where we were beaten 0-2 on the maps Anobis and Inferno.
Finally, we faced Nigma Galaxy, who only suffered one loss during the tournament. Sadly, we didn't get to increase their number of losses as we got defeated 0-2.
This means we're heading back to the drawing board as we didn't qualify for the ESL Impact League Finals. We still have much to learn, and we're confident we'll improve for the next season.
