Astralis (w) played themselves into the Semi-Final of the ESL Impact Katowice Open Qualifier by winning two matches.
The European Open Qualifier #1 to ESL Impact Katowice began yesterday, December 14th.
Twenty-eight teams participated in the open qualifier; only four are left now.
Because of our third-place seeding, we skipped the first round of matches.
Our first matchup was against Angels on the map, Overpass.
During our ESEA Open season, we showed how comfortable we are on that exact map, which once again shone through.
The first half ended 12-3, where kezziwow and spike performed back-to-back 4Ks to secure two important rounds.
We continued the momentum and went on to the next round after winning 16-3.
It almost felt like we didn't leave the server as Overpass again became the battleground against our next opponent, Flames Shieldmaidens.
A fantastic portrayal by both kezziwow and spike made the match feel familiar.
A closer half at 9-6 this time, but on our T-side, we were unstoppable.
spike even finished the match with a 4K and achieved 27 frags!
Today, December 15th, the qualifier continues at 19:00 CET, where we'll meet 9 Pandas Fearless in a Bo1 Semi-Final.
If we reach the Final, we have to play a Bo3 against either NAVI Javelins or NIP.
