On Thursday, we went into our two matches in the ESEA Open Season 44 with confidence from our most recent win against bejottINDUSTRIES.
Our first opponent of the day was mentalproblems. As the game kicked off on Inferno, the game proved to be a back-and-forth affair. Our T side proved strong in conquering the bombsite, and with four crucial round wins to turn the tide of the first half, the first half ended with a score of 8-7 in favor of our opponent.
Our CT side proved strong from the get-go. Four round wins to kick off the half established our dominance. Our opponent scraped home a few rounds, but after a brilliant 1v1 clutch by Selin "spike" Alak, our opponent stood no chance, and we won the game with a score of 12-16.
Next up was HPC eSports on Ancient. Once again, the game was a back-and-forth one, and despite our opponent winning five rounds in a row, we managed to win the first half with an 8-7 score. We played some great rounds, and one of our highlights included an ace by Rachel "RacheLL" Kujawa!
Our T side was off to a fantastic start, and we were at a 14-7 score before long. Unfortunately, HPC eSports fought back and claimed a 14-16 win in the end. With a win and a loss in our bags, our Season 44 score now stands at 3-3-0.
Our next match will be on February 6 at 21.30 CET (9.30 PM), and our next opponent is Boven Modaal!
