The highly anticipated BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 have been officially announced.
The upcoming international LAN tournament guarantees a thrilling experience filled with action and excitement as the 12 partner teams have been carefully divided into three high-explosive groups.
Group B features a strong lineup of competitors, including Natus Vincere, BIG, Heroic, and the main team, setting the stage for fierce competition.
blameF: "We're making progress, but we also have to be realistic. Seven days in the practice room together before a tournament isn't enough time to get familiar with new roles."
Each team must bring their best performance to succeed in this challenging tournament.
On July 14th at 14:00 CEST, the Danish Quintet will compete against Natus Vincere in the first round of the group stage.
Taking place in Brøndby, Denmark, from July 13th to July 23rd, this event holds significant importance as the top six contenders will secure a spot in the Fall Final in November.
A prize pool of $177,500 is also on the line in the first LAN tournament of the Fall season.
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer is excited to start the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, where he thinks his Danish team will be competing in the strongest group.
What are your thoughts on the group you're in for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023?
- It's possibly the strongest group among all the teams. However, there are still some unanswered questions to consider. Our team and NAVI have made significant roster changes, adding a new layer of excitement and unpredictability.
- In addition, we have to face them in the opening round. Previously, facing NAVI in an opening match was something other than what you hoped for, but this time it will be an exciting encounter due to both teams' roster changes. You never really know what will happen because of that.
- Like us, BIG is eager after a solid start to the fall season, so it's a strong and highly competitive group. It may be the strongest and most challenging group to be a part of in this edition of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups.
- The biggest challenge for us would be Heroic, who are currently the number-one team in the world and haven't made any roster changes because they are playing so well at the moment.
You guys just started bootcamping for the upcoming fall season with two new additions to the team, Victor "Staehr" Staehr and Johannes "b0RUP" Borup.
Are you guys ready to rumble soon, and how has the preseason kicked off, in your opinion?
- We're making progress, but we also have to be realistic. Seven days in the practice room together before a tournament isn't enough time to get familiar with new roles and with a new in-game leader.
- We need more time playing together to feel like a cohesive unit. Of course, we want to conquer the world as soon as possible, but things take time, and it requires many hours of training to turn our dreams and ambitions into reality. However, my overall feeling about this is positive, and that's a great start. But it takes more than a good feeling in your gut to win against teams like Heroic and NAVI, that's for sure.
- The boot camp has been great so far, which is a positive. People are motivated and dedicated. There's nothing to point fingers at. Jokes are already being cracked, and everybody contributes to the positive atmosphere. We all want the same thing and share the same goals.
- We're heading in the right direction, without a doubt.
The 12 teams have been evenly distributed into three groups of four, using a double-elimination format.
As the LAN tournament unfolds, fans will witness the debut of several exciting new lineups, adding an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability to the already intense competition.
On June 22nd, it was officially announced that significant changes were made to the main team.
Astralis and Sprout came to an agreement to transfer Victor "Staehr" Staehr. Additionally, Johannes "b0RUP" Borup has also joined the main team after an agreement was reached.
