Qualifying for the playoffs in the Power Liga was an important goal for us this season, so of course, we are happy about the performance. I think it is something we all expected before the season, but one thing is expectations, another is the reality that comes after.
We’ve been on a good run lately, but we also have a feeling, there is so much more in this group. We still make mistakes and need to improve and adjust some tactical details to make sure we’re all working in the same direction. When we work as a team, we create great results!
Climbing the ladder
While POWER Ligaens matches do not appear on HLTV and thus do not count in the official world ranking, the results come in tandem with Astralis Talent’s rapid increase in world rank from #253 in October ‘21 to #63 on March 14th, the highest rating ever for the Academy Roster.
The improved ranking comes from a series of great results in the period, like reaching a shared 3rd place in SiGMA Esport Technologies Cup 2021, 3rd in WePlay Academy League Season 3, a shared 1st place in Pinnacle Winter Series 3 Regionals. The ladder qualified Astralis Talent to Pinnacle Winter Series 3, which had several Major-contending teams like Heroic and Copenhagen Flames.
What’s Next
Next up, Astralis Talent will finish their final two matches ahead of playoffs in POWER Ligaen and participate in the Elisa Invitational Spring 2022, where the directly-qualified Astralis Talent will compete in Round 1 - also starting March 21.
