In the last twelve days, 15,872 individuals have downloaded the innovative Sound Arena map, fully embracing this unique challenge.
Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, and Christian "Buzz" Andersen have also tested their nerves against this thrilling task.
The map created in collaboration with Astralis, Logitech G, Luke "lmtlss" Millanta, and Squink is even the most popular map on the Steam Workshop.
At the heart of this challenge lies the unusual gameplay dynamic of navigating in darkness.
Participants are virtually taking a shot in the dark, honing their aim using only auditory cues to hit the bullseye.
As the screen plunges into darkness the moment a player fires, top rewards are in store for those with the keenest sense of hearing, capable of picking up even the faintest sounds, like a pin drop.
lmtlss: - The challenge was finding the right difficulty balance for the audio challenge to ensure the map was playable, yet not an impossible task, but still challenging and immersive for players.
Sound is crucial in professional gaming, where the Logitech X Pro headset becomes invaluable.
Its superior sound quality enhances precision aiming and target hitting.
dev1ce, blameF and Buzz have put this to the test, each given a minute to hit as many targets as possible in total darkness, using only their skills and the Logitech X Pro headset.
