After an intense battle against the Russian team AMKAL, the main team unfortunately lost 1-2 and, therefore, must keep fighting for a spot at the European RMR.
Rounds were traded back and forth in the first half, leading to an even halftime score of 6-6. The Danes struggled to find their strength in the second half, and a nerve-racking battle took them to overtime. Rounds kept getting exchanged throughout overtime, taking them to four OTs.
The long and tricky first map eventually ended 21-25 in OT 4 in favor of AMKAL.
Even though the Danish squad couldn't convert the rounds needed, their captain, Benjamin "BlameF" Bremer, showed his worth, topping the charts with an impressive 45 kills.
During the first half of the match, the Danes were able to keep their opponents at bay, resulting in a 6-6 tie on the Russian's map pick. However, the Danish team found their strength in the second half and won six consecutive rounds.
After allowing their opponents only three rounds, they converted the last round needed to win. This 13-9 victory forced the game to go to the third and final map, Nuke, to determine the winner.
The quintet had a difficult time managing a positive score in the first half of the decisive map, which ended with an 8-4 advantage for the Russian team. Despite winning four consecutive rounds on their CT site, they could not maintain the momentum and eventually lost 10-13 to the Russians.
This means the Danes must keep fighting for a spot in the European RMR.
