What RMR?

April 21 is the beginning of the Regional Major Rankins (RMR), the qualifier for the most prestigious Counter-Strike tournament in the world: The Major. Astralis plays ASG in the first match on April 21, 13:30.

The team has arrived in Bucharest, Romania, where they will compete for the remaining spots in Antwerp where the Major is held in May.

The Format

 Swiss, 16 teams

• Elimination/ Advancement Matches are BO3s
• All other matches are BO1
• Top 3 teams qualify for the Major Challenger Stage
• The remainder of the Top 8 qualify for the Major Legends Stage
• Bottom 8 teams are eliminated
• 3rd place decider is resolved via a Bo3 single-elimination match

The teams qualifying for the Challenger Stage will begin the Major on May 9 and the teams going directly to the Legends Stage will have a break until May 14 where competition begins.

To summarize: Win 3 games and lose 0 or 1, and you qualify. Win 3 and lose 2 and you play for your spot. Do not win 3: Go home.
