The Groups for ESL Pro League 18 Have Been Announced

  • Date: From August 30th through October 1st, 2023
  • Tournament: ESL Pro League Season 18
  • Opponents in Group A: Group A challengers include prominent teams such as Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), FURIA, Movistar Riders, Grayhound, and GamerLegion, with one more contender yet to be announced.
  • Format: A double-elimination format, with all matches being a Best of Three. The thrill continues in the Last Chance Stage, featuring a high-stakes single-elimination, also in Best of Three matches.
  • Prize pool: A substantial prize pool of 850,000 dollars.

From August 30th through October 1st, 2023, the main team will participate in the prestigious ESL Pro League Season 18 LAN tournament in Malta.

The groups have been seeded and drawn based on the teams' ESL World Rankings. 

The four remaining qualified teams will be assigned the lowest seeds in each group.

blameF and the Gang will compete in Group A, including serious competition and heavy hitters like the Paris Major champions Vitality and their grand final opponents in the French capital, GamerLegion.

The remaining teams are FURIA, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Movistar Riders, and Greyhound, with one squad still yet to qualify.  

In Malta, will be 32 teams battling for glory, divided into four groups.

In the opening round of Group A, the Danes will face off against the Swedish squad, Ninjas in Pyjamas. 

A meeting with Vitality or another yet-to-be-decided team in the upper semi-final could be on the cards if a first win is secured initially against NIP.

As the tournament gets underway, teams from Group A will kick-start the first week of the LAN tournament.

Should the Danish squad led by head coach casle qualify, they will return to Malta for the playoffs.

The playoff structure is a single-elimination bracket, requiring teams to compete through two rounds before advancing to the quarter-finals.

  • The ESL Pro League 18 winner will take home $200,000 in prize money, along with a ticket directly qualifying for the BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 and the IEM Katowice 2024.
  • The runner-up will receive $90,000 in prize money.
