Our Main team is ready to bounce back after a tough run at IEM Cologne 2024 as they head to Malta for ESL Pro League Season 20. On Tuesday, September 10, at 13:30 CEST, our lineup, led by Nicolai 'dev1ce' Reedtz, will take on fnatic's European roster featuring our former in-game leader Benjamin 'blameF' Bremer in the upper bracket opener of Group C.
The last time we were in Malta, the team powered through to the semi-finals, taking down FaZe and Liquid before an intense match against Vitality knocked us out. This time, we'll face teams like MOUZ, Rooster, Imperial, BIG, Complexity, and M80 as we fight our way to the playoffs.
After the disappointing results in Cologne, our lineup has worked hard in pracc to fine-tune strategies and performance.
With ESL Pro League fast approaching, we asked Martin 'stavn' Lund, one of the key figures on the roster, to share his focus points heading into the big event:
"Since Cologne, we've spent a lot of time reviewing our own game, focusing on what we can improve and change. The key going into EPL is confidence in our abilities as a team and individually," says stavn.
"We need to be better at shifting gears mid-round and exploiting any weaknesses our opponents leave open," he adds.
On meeting his former IGL in the opening match against fnatic, stavn says:
"Facing a former teammate is always fun, but once the game starts, it’s all about locking in and staying focused on the mission ahead."
