With our Danish lineup arriving in Rio, we're ready to make the most of it in the Brazilian metropolis, aiming for a strong performance in the best-of-one duel in the opening round of Group B.

Victor 'Staehr' Staehr and his teammates are facing Eternal Fire at 19:00 CEST.

Staehr: "This time it's crucial to be sharp right from the start, especially since you only get one chance in the opening round of Group B."

Despite the Turkish roster showing great form in recent months—beating top teams like Vitality, The MongolZ, and MOUZ, and finishing second in ESL Pro League Season 20—our players in Rio is eager to bounce back on the server and make it count after a tough debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

Staehr:  "It's important to get more games under our belt as a team"

You only get one shot in the opening round, with an intense Bo1 duel ahead, but Staehr emphasizes that the Danes are ready to perform from the start.

What are your expectations for your  time in Rio?

"I expect us to gain valuable experience from official matches. It's important to get more games under our belt as a team and unit. Personally, I hope to play some good CS here in Brazil," says Victor "Staehr" Staehr.

What do you need to do to succeed and perform better than you did at the BLAST Fall Final?

"In my opinion, we played a solid match against Spirit, and if we can maintain that form, I'm confident we'll show some good stuff here in Rio."

How do you best prepare for an intense opening BO1 duel in the first round?

"It's the same as always, whether it's a BO1 or a BO3, but this time it's crucial to be sharp right from the start, especially since you only get one chance in the opening round of Group B," the 20-year-old rifler adds.
