Everything was on the line when the Main Team went head-to-head with Monte in the Bo3 elimination match. Two recent losses had pressured the Danes to fight for survival in their quest to reach the PGL Major in Copenhagen. Settling the game required all three maps, but in the end, the team secured a victory, and they are still in the run.

The Ancient Formula

Despite dropping the pistol round initially, the Danes quickly bounced back and started building momentum by putting consecutive rounds on the board, evening to score 6-6 by halftime. Transitioning to the CT side, the squad seized control by winning the pistol round and conceding only two rounds afterward. The map concluded decisively in favor of the Danes, with a final score of 13-8 on Ancient. Noteworthy performances included Nicolai "device" Reedtz leading the scoreboard with 19-11 and  Martin "stavn" Lund maintaining an impressive 101 ADR.

"We have faced some tough opponents, but I feel like we played well today." - Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
Downfall on Vertigo

Despite kicking off with a remarkable team ace in the pistol round on the CT side, the team faced a challenging stretch, dropping six consecutive rounds. By halftime, the Danes were trailing at 4-8, unable to secure a single round on the T side. Unfortunately, the struggles persisted, culminating in a defeat as Vertigo was lost 4-13.

The Road to Victory

On Overpass, the team faced early challenges on the T-side but rallied with two force buys and subsequent follow-ups, securing a 7-5 lead by halftime. At the beginning of the second half, the Danes dominated with four consecutive round wins, paving the way for a comfortable victory. Noteworthy was Victor 'Staehr' Staehr's standout performance, ending the game with a commanding 17-9 KD ratio.

We spoke to in-game leader Benjamin "blameF" Bremer about their victory and the upcoming match on Thursday, February 22:

The Main Team is now 2-2 in the RMR, which means they will play a final match on Thursday, February 22. The opponent and time of the match are still to be decided. The Danes will advance to the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 by winning this game. In case of defeat, qualification is still possible through the Last Chance Qualifier, in which six teams compete for a single spot.
