The RMR qualifiers are right around the corner! On February 16 to 19, our Counter-Strike team will be playing the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR Closed Qualifier A. Here's how it'll go down and what qualifying means for us.

The Format

In total, 16 teams populate the A qualifier we're a part of. On February 19 at the latest, eight teams will emerge from qualifying for the RMRs.

The format is Swiss, which means the progression matches are BO1s, and the elimination matches are BO3s. All opponents throughout the format will have identical scores to us, meaning if we go 1-0, our next opponents will also have won their previous match, etc.

What we're qualifying for

If we finish in the top 8, we qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR. There are two European RMRs, with 16 teams on each. Seven spots are already filled with the IEM Rio Major's participants, and the remaining spots will be found in the qualifiers. The top eight teams in the RMRs will then qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Who do we have to beat?

Our group consists of the following teams, who have been invited based on their Valve Ranking:

  • Astralis
  • G2
  • SAW
  • 9INE
  • Copenhagen Flames
  • HAVU
  • IKLA
  • 1WIN

The remaining opponents will be found in the Open Qualifiers, which all happen on February 15.
