Another week of POWER Ligaen is finished, and the Talent squad went 1-1 in their two matches.
Both matches happened on October 30th, 2023, where they faced XI Esport Sponsorworld at 19:00 CET and Atlantic at 21:00 CET.
Despite having played the first part of the season in CS:GO, POWER Ligaen held a two-week-long break to transition into CS2, which is now the game being played in the other half of the season. Even though the game is switched, the games in the Group Stage are still being played as MR15.
In the opening match of the season, the talent roster faced XI Esport SponsorWorld on Overpass, which resulted in a comfortable 16-5 victory for the talents.
This time, Vertigo was the chosen battleground. XI Esport got out to a fast start, leading 5-1 early on, but the final score ended up being 6-6.
The teams switched sides at an 8–7 score, and the opposition emerged from the half leading again, 8-14.
In an attempt to come back into the game, the Talent team managed to get a few rounds in, but ultimately, XI Esport SponsorWorld won the match 11-16.
The last game in CS:GO, before the break, was against Atlantic on Ancient, which the players in blue won 6-16.
Andreas "kiR" Kirstein and co. sought revenge on Nuke, which could be seen as they fought their way into a 7-1 lead, where kIR and Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen prevailed with 11 and 10 frags, respectively.
Atlantic crawled back a bit by ending the first half with a 9-6 score. The red-shirted players again got off to a fantastic start in the second half, doubling the number of rounds as Atlantic at 12-6.
Suddenly, Atlantic remained in the game as they almost tied the score 12-11, claiming round no. 11. The talents showed mental strength as they claimed the victory 16-11.
kIR and MistR carried on the excellent showing from the first half as the former player achieved a 26-16 K/D and the latter a 20-16 K/D.
In addition to that, the duo also clutched a 2v3 situation in the final round to secure the victory.
A win and a loss place the Talent line-up in third place in the Group Stage standing. There are only two weeks left until the Group Stage is completed, and the focus turns to the Playoffs, where the four best teams from the Group Stage attend.
