Astralis got close to topping Group A at IEM Katowice 2021 after convincingly taking down Mousesports and Evil Geniuses. Nicolai 'dev1ce' Reedtz was unstoppable against Mousesports and Andreas 'Xyp9x' Højsleth took lead on winning very impactful rounds against Evil Geniuses.

The clutch minister himself stepping up today. A massive performance from the man with the freshest shave in CS.

But on February 21, the team was taken by surprise by the CIS contender Team Spirit.

All looked good when Astralis won the opponents map pick 16-11 but from there, the hungry dark horse of Spirit responded with two wins on the following maps and a devastating 1-16 scoreline on Dust2. The second time in history Astralis has suffered such a significant deficit.
