In a do-or-die matchup at ESL Pro League Season 20, the main team faced Complexity for the second time this week in the lower bracket. After defeating Rooster 2-0 on September 13 to secure another chance, the Danes fell just short in a tense battle that stretched across three maps, ending in overtime heartbreak. The loss resulted in a Danish elimination from the tournament.
On the first map of Vertigo, the squad struggled with securing consecutive rounds and, combined with a broken economy, left them trailing 4-8 at the half.
Despite securing the pistol round on the T side and building some momentum, they couldn’t close the gap, ultimately losing 10-13.
Inferno began with a great T-side showing, leaving the Danish roster up 7-5 at the break. The Danes bounced back after giving up the CT-pistol round and tying the score.
A comeback saw the team dominate the remainder of the map, winning every round after a decisive mid-rush, closing out Inferno 13-6.
The decider on Nuke was an intense, back-and-forth affair. The Danes struggled on the T side, trailing 4-8 at halftime, but fought back on CT to force overtime.
Despite their effort, Complexity managed to edge them out in a close 14-16 finish, eliminating the team from the tournament.
The squad will be back on the server, ready to take on their next challenge on home soil as the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 kicks off in Denmark on September 24.
