After winning the group final in overtime against Vitality, we are on to the Knockout Stage as the top seed, starting in the Round 3 BO3 finals!

On Friday, August 19, we played Group A of BLAST Premier Fall Groups, battling for the best starting point, or seed, in the upcoming Knockout Stage next weekend. Our opponents were Vitality, OG, and Ninjas In Pyjamas.

Our first match in the Opening Round started with us winning the pistols on the t-side on Overpass. This turned into a fine 3-1 lead, whereafter NIP launched a brutal defensive campaign, taking the half 6-9. NIP managed to keep the momentum going into the second half despite Farlig having a great game, ending the game 10-16.

The next map was in the Lower Bracket against OG, who had just lost to Vitality 11-16. The stage was set on Mirage, and our dynamic duo blameF and k0nfig led the charge in a dominant CT-side, moving over to the second half with 12 rounds in the bag. Here OG found a little space to push back, but it wasn't enough as we ended the match 16-9.

In the following map, we met NIP again, who had just lost to Vitality 12-16, moving them to the Consolidation Final in the Lower Bracket against us. After a successful offensive first half on the T-side, we moved to the second half, 8-7, where blameF opened the show with an impressive gun show.

This turned into a very dominant CT-side, ending the game 16-9 in total.

Finally, we were back in the Group Final, and Vitality was the final opponent to meet from Group A. After winning the pistol round, neither team could build momentum, with back-and-forth rounds marking a trend that would last the rest of the game.

The first half ended 5-10, while we slowly fought back to 15-15, going into overtime. Of the first three rounds, Vitality snagged two, forcing us to play our best on the ensuing CT side. However, after three intense rounds, we managed to claim victory after Farlig closed the 36th round beautifully.
