Forty-seven rounds were needed to find a finalist, but unfortunately, the margins weren't with us in the Semi-Final.
On December 15th, we played against 9 Pandas Fearless in a Bo1 Semi-Final of the ESL Impact Katowice 2023 Europe Open Qualifier #1.
Overpass was chosen as the map in the initial games, and we continued in that fashion.
The first 15 rounds weren't anything to brag about, hence a 3-12 score.
We managed to make an incredible comeback as CTs, tying the score at 15-15. From here on, it got spicy.
Our players secured the first three rounds in the first overtime, but 9 Pandas Fearless replicated our accomplishment and brought us to the second overtime.
The second overtime became more varied as our opponents came in the lead at 18-20.
Once again, we rebounded and took the lead 21-20 and had the opportunity to close it out, but sadly a third overtime was on the cards.
In the end, we ran out of stamina despite an incredible performance from our athletes, especially Joanana, who ended the match on 42 frags and a 1.21 rating.
We have another shot in the second qualifier on December 17th - 18th, where we'll try to qualify for ESL Impact Katowice 2023.
