January 10, 2024

The Europe RMR Closed Qualifier will commence next week, from January 18 to January 20. The main team is confident in their abilities, eager to overcome every challenge and secure a spot in the forthcoming Europe RMR.

Jakob 'jabbi' Nygaard and his teammates hold high hopes for the Closed Qualifier, ultimately aiming to compete in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen on home soil in March.

"I expect to go through to the Europe RMR in Bucharest. There's no doubt in my mind about that," a determined Jakob 'jabbi' Nygaard states.

stavn: In these initial months, establishing a strong foundation for the team has been crucial, something we can rely on as we continue to develop and rebuild our lineup.

jabbi: We maximized our pracc time during the break to ensure we were in top form post-holidays

How have you and the team prepared tactically for this closed qualifier, and what has been the focus in your practice sessions?

"We've strived to be thoroughly prepared for these matches. We maximized our pracc time during the player break to ensure we were in top form post-holidays. Maintaining a high level of pracc during the break has been crucial for us leading up to this tournament," jabbi notes.

With jabbi and his close friend Martin 'stavn' Lund joining in November 2023, they've quickly become a dynamic duo, training intensively with the main squad. Reflecting on his initial months at the esports organization Astralis, jabbi shares that the transition has been smooth, marked by a warm welcome and an easy settling-in process.

"I've got some good teammates, that's for sure, and we've already developed quite a nice camaraderie on the squad. We're having a lot of fun, but I appreciate that we also manage to focus on serious business when needed. It's the greatest combo for team dynamics you could wish for."

What have been your team's most critical tactical considerations, and what do you hope to demonstrate in this Closed Qualifier?

"Of course, we aim to demonstrate to everyone that we can compete at the highest level. In these initial months, establishing a strong foundation for the team has been crucial, something we can rely on as we continue to develop and rebuild our lineup. We're working hard to strengthen our map pool and put the finishing touches on our strategies."

blameF and Co. have been placed in Closed Qualifier B, where the Danish Quintet will face opponents including MOUZ, Team Spirit, Eternal Fire, Amkal Esports, Preasy Esport, Aurora Gaming, and FORZE Esport.

Eight more squads will earn their spots in the closed qualifiers, with their names to be confirmed following the open qualifiers set for January 8-9.
