April 11, 2023

As we embark on our journey toward the highly anticipated BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, our team is primed and ready to face off against Europe's best in the European RMR B tournament. With the first round of matches commencing on April 11, 2023, our eyes are set on securing a spot in the Major and proving ourselves as a force to be reckoned with.

Our recent success in the IEM Dallas 2023 Europe Open and Closed Qualifier, where we emerged victorious in eight consecutive games, showcases the dedication and determination of our players – Xyp9x, gla1ve, dev1ce, blameF, and Buzz.

In a recent interview, our team's coach, Casle, reflected on this success, stating:

- There were many things that went well. We were generally well prepared, the players performed at a really high level, and we were good at standing together in adversity. Many fundamental things have begun to look good.

Currently ranked #16 in the world, our team is eager to demonstrate their prowess and continue climbing the ranks.

Casle also spoke about how the team plans to use the IEM Dallas qualifier as preparation for the upcoming RMR:

- We must bring our good form to the RMR. We have evaluated and know where our shortcomings are, so we will work hard on them in the coming days to be ready when the RMR starts. It's about building on our success.

The European RMR B tournament presents a fierce lineup of 16 teams, including notable names such as Heroic, Cloud9, Team Spirit, BIG, ENCE, Team Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, 9INE, G2 Esports, Eternal Fire, Monte, iNation, Aurora Gaming, forZe, and 500. Our first match will see us clash against the formidable Team Vitality on April 11, and we're more than ready to bring our A-game.

... the fans, of course, provide extra motivation leading up to the RMR matches - Casle

The importance of qualifying for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 cannot be overstated, as it represents a significant milestone for our team. This Major holds special significance as it marks the final Major ever in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. With the recent announcement of Counter-Strike 2, the upcoming Major takes on an even greater meaning, adding to the excitement and the desire to leave a lasting legacy in the CS:GO world.

The tournament placements grant different seedings, with the Top 3 qualifying as "Legends," Top 4-8 as "Challengers," and Top 9-11 entering the "Challengers Stage Last Chance Qualifier." Our goal is clear: secure a spot among the Legends and make our mark on the world stage, particularly in this historic final Major of CS:GO.

Ahead of the critical RMR matches, Casle described the team's atmosphere as being very positive.

- The mood is really good. It was great to feel the support at the office where we played from, and we are, of course, happy that we won the qualifier for Dallas.

- Victories and support, also from the fans, of course, provide extra motivation leading up to the RMR matches.

We understand the passion and support of our fans and the importance of this monumental event. Our team is committed to pushing the limits and striving for excellence in every match. As we embark on this thrilling journey, we invite you to join us in cheering on our quest for victory in the European RMR B tournament and, ultimately, the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Together, we will rise to the challenge and show the world what Astralis is made of, leaving an indelible mark on the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Let the games begin!
