The votes have finally been counted, and the people have spoken.
After a multitude of Astralis fans cast their votes on social media last week to determine the best all-time clutches in Astralis history, the election officials have been working day and night to ensure the credibility of this election.
And now it's time to present to you the top three clutches in Astralis history.
The undisputed winner of the all-time best Astralis clutch is, unsurprisingly, this thrilling and wondrous play from the one and only Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz. In this clip, the number three seems to play a humorous yet significant role. However, this is not relegating him to third place; quite the opposite, this special duel secures him the top spot.
With dev1ce taking matters into his own hands, he eliminated Tarik 'tarik' Celik, Tsvetelin 'CeRq' Dimitrov, and Peter 'stanislaw' Jarguz one by one during the pistol round on Train. Remarkably, dev1ce only needed three bullets to land headshots on three enemies – in fact, those were the only bullets he had left.
And guess what? He only had three HP left as well. The stars truly aligned for the superstar AWPer, who was also crowned the tournament MVP at the StarLadder Major Berlin 2019, a tournament the Danes also won.
In second place, we have the equally legendary Andreas "xyp9x" Højsleth executing a truly spectacular ninja defuse clutch.
On this occasion, he single-handedly faced off against a full North squad, the Danish rival team which, at that time, had Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærby in their lineup.
This elegant ninja defuse maneuver shifted the scoreline to 16-4 on Nuke, the final map of the match, ultimately enabling the Danish roster to triumph over North with a 2-0 series victory, advancing from the Upper Semi-Finals in Group A at IEM Chicago 2018.
Despite the main team losing the Grand Final of the BLAST Pro Series in Copenhagen, which took place on their home turf on the 25th of September, 2017, the legendary former Astralis player Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen delivered a magnificent performance.
He showcased an impressive back-to-back clutch, first a 1v3, followed by a 1v4 on Mirage, the first map of the match.
The opponent in the Grand Final, SK Gaming, clearly had trouble taking down the resilient Dane.
This performance earns him a spot in third place in the Astralis fans' top 3 list of the best clutches in Astralis history.
The Danish quintet won the initial duel on Mirage, SK's map pick, but couldn't hold the fort in the subsequent map duels, ultimately losing the final in Copenhagen.
