The main squad is out of ESL Pro League Season 18 after a 0-2 deficit against Eternal Fire.
After a successful lower bracket run earlier in the month, it was time to compete in the Playoffs round 1, where the Turkish squad, Eternal Fire, was our first opponent.
Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş & Co. are usually a tough opponent for the Danes, as they're 2-2 in maps in the last three months.
The first map, Vertigo, was also played back in May, 2023, where the Danes brought home a narrow 16-14 victory, and history was almost about to repeat itself.
Unfortunately, this time, it favored Eternal Fire, who won 14-16 despite great performances from Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Christian "Buzz" Andersen.
The Danes were off to a fine start on Inferno, leading 3-1 on the T-side. Eternal Fire found the groove and took home seven of the eight next rounds, making the score 4-8.
When switching sides, the score was 6-9, and with a pistol round victory, it seemed doable for the Danes.
With seven consecutive rounds, the opponents, sadly, claimed Inferno 9-16 and ultimately took the win 0-2. This means, that the Danes are out of ESL Pro League Season 18.
