Fresh from Hamburg, the women's team heads home with their heads held high after a solid showing and valuable takeaways from the Female Bay Cup 2023. aurora and her teammates launched their German LAN campaign with a decisive 2-0 sweep against their Danish rivals AaB esport, dominating Anubis 31-1 and Vertigo 13-1.

With significant momentum from their quarter-final win, the women's line-up, we're ready to face off the strong roster BIG EQUIPA in the semi-final on Sunday, November 5th.

aurora: I'd like to highlight our collective effort at this tournament. Despite facing challenges like fever and eye infections, the girls fought with everything they had. That determination deserves respect.

Despite a valiant effort, the women's team surrendered to a challenging opponent, enduring a 2-0 defeat with scores of 13-3 on Ancient and 13-9 on Vertigo.

BIG EQUIPA went on to win the final against woofwoof and claimed the title of Female Bay Cup 2023 champions. Nevertheless, Søren 'zibron' Gertsen's squad has much to be proud of, including their showing in Hamburg and integrating Isabella "Ismo" Ferselv into the Danish roster for the first time officially.

aurora, serving as the team's in-game leader, looks back at the tournament with a positive lens, acknowledging the worth of insights gained. She also points to the team's powerful performance as a unified force.

"Partaking in this tournament was very exciting. It was great to finally get out and travel to other prestigious events across Europe. Looking back, we performed admirably, especially considering our loss was to the team that eventually won the tournament. Our main goal was to focus on our core values as a team, emphasizing our overall mission and how we want to conduct ourselves and play as a cohesive unit. From that perspective, I believe we did an excellent job," Aurora reflects.

"We faced BIG EQUIPA in the semi-finals, a seasoned team with players who have played together for a long time. Reviewing the footage from that match to learn from our mistakes will be invaluable."

The women's team's next challenge is set for ESEA Open - Season 47. aurora and her squad are scheduled to play on Monday evening, November 6th, at 20:30 CEST against Myllyn Paras.
