Six man Roster brought home the Dreamhack title – ready for for BLAST
The Astralis Counter-Strike team came out victorious in DreamHack Masters Winter with the six man roster in action for the first time.
Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen came into play on Nuke twice: In the semi-final against Furia and the Grand Final against Mousesports winning both of his maps.
After the tournament, Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen shed some light on the mechanics of the roster:
- It was amazing to be a part of the team and winning the tournament! I have spent a lot of time getting ready and prepared for the Astralis way of working and playing, and I feel ready to contribute.
- After my initial games, back when I joined the team, I went into the process of adjusting my playstyle to fit in. I have studied the play book and worked with gla1ve and zonic, and if you look at the two Nuke games now I think that has worked out quite well.
- In Mad Lions I was used to playing every day and to say I haven't missed playing during my time on the bench would be a lie. But I think we proved that there's a method to the madness and I can’t wait to see how things go in the coming tournaments. We haven’t had much time to prepare for BLAST, but personally I can’t wait to play again. If the coach decides to put me in, that is.
Next up: BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals
The dust from DH Masters has barely settled before BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals begins, a $425,000 tournament Astralis qualified for in November. The first match for Astralis is December 8 at CET 19:30 against NAVI. The very same opponent sent Astralis packing from IEM Beijing in November so sweet revenge is up for grabs.
