League of Legends
Astralis League of Legends had its trial by fire in the first week of LEC. The Astralis star took over the screens in the iconic Berlin studio for the first time ever, as the team got ready for their opening match against SK Gaming.
The first two days of competition resulted in two losses and Astralis going 0-2 against SK Gaming and Mad Lions. The team, however, picked itself up on the final day against Team Vitality and managed to end the debut week with a win and a 1-2 record.
Following the victory, Hampus 'promisq' Abrahamsson delivered the post game interview with an obvious sigh of relief in the camp after a great finish.
Astralis League of Legends is back in action January 29, 30, against the reigning Spring Split Champions, G2 Esports, on Friday and Excel Esports on Saturday.
Counter-Strike
Astralis Counter-Strike made it to their fourth consecutive grand final at BLAST Premier Global Final. The team played an intense game against Team Vitality in the semifinal to book the grand final spot.
In the grand final the team was matched against an extremely well playing NAVI, who made sure the trophy would not go to Astralis this time around. A quick 12-16, 5-16, meant that NAVI walked away as the victors of the first Counter-Strike tournament of the year.
Astralis is far from done with Premier tournaments though, as the team looks ahead to BLAST Premier Spring 2021, starting on February 4 with 10 other top teams and a chance to get revenge on the Russians.
