Today, together with a number of the world's biggest esports teams and Counter-Strike players, Astralis joins the Ukrainian esports organization, NaVi, in raising money to aid Ukraine.
On December 22nd, you can experience players across top-tier teams competing in "Born To Be Brave," raising money for UNITED24, an initiative launched by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Director of Communications at Astralis, Steen Laursen
- We have actively supported the people of Ukraine since the beginning and have previously raised money for Amnesty International's efforts in the region. We have a great relationship with NaVi and its people, so we accepted their invitation without hesitation when we were asked last week.
- Our players were eager to participate, and the fans can expect Counter-Strike in a unique setting, with players in a context that, despite the serious cause, will be very entertaining to watch.
- Esports is a global culture that reaches far beyond the servers and players, and we at Astralis are very aware of the impact it can have. We're looking forward to revealing more, Steen Laursen concludes.
The players in the four teams that will compete against eachother are yet to be revealed, but the following team names might give an indication on what to expect...
The initiative raises money through brave.navi.gg, where some details have already been revealed on how BRAVE24 contributes to and aids the people of Ukraine.
