In August, Astralis and VUC Storstrøm will initiate an innovative program to support elite esports athletes in pursuing their education while actively engaging in their esports careers. This flexible youth school education, based on individual subjects at HF through online distance learning, will be designed to accommodate the players' training and tournament commitments.
Players can select either a single subject or a complete youth education.
- For several years, we have been assisting elite athletes in both football and hockey with their education, gaining significant experience in adjusting to tournament schedules and training sessions," says Bo Svane Møller, the guidance counsellor at VUC Storstrøm's distance learning program and the school's new esports program.
Flexibility and adaptability enable VUC Storstrøm to accommodate elite, semi-elite, and professional players simultaneously.
Due to the potentially fluctuating schedules of esports athletes, it is crucial to facilitate their education through flexibility and asynchronous studies.
- We are incredibly pleased with this initiative and our partnership with VUC Storstrøm. Danish esports athletes and gamers at all levels can now pursue individual subjects through distance learning in a highly flexible setup.
- This allows them to effectively balance their training and commitments to matches and tournaments, even at short notice, explains Asger Ravn Nissen, Special Consultant at Astralis.
