On the day of the highly anticipated fan event in Field on November 25, we invited a group of young people and a Danish Red Cross Youth volunteer to our grand gaming hub, Nexus, for an action-packed morning with many gaming activities as well as food and beverages.
After some fun and intense CS2 duels, the young visitors from Danish Red Cross Youth moved on to our eagerly awaited event in the Field's, where the players of the main team led by Benjamin 'blamed' Bremer stopped by to sign autographs and greeted the hundreds of fans turning up.
The event concluded with an impressive fan march to the mighty Royal Arena, where a fantastic day in the spirit of friendship and community culminated with world-class Counter-Strike on the grand stage at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. At the same time, the Danish Red Cross Youth group was invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet with blameF and Co. at Crown Plaza.
"We had a fantastic day in the company of players and employees from Astralis. We had much fun playing Counter-Strike, meeting the star players, and experiencing the atmosphere at the BLAST Fall Final in Royal Arena. It was a huge experience for the young Danish Red Cross Youth, who got to talk to their idols from Astralis. The players took their time signing autographs and answering all the young people's questions. There is no doubt that the young people had a wonderful day. The excitement was unmistakable. We are very grateful for the event that Astralis had put together," says Caroline Larsen.
Danish Red Cross Youth's visit to Nexus, along with several other partner events from 2023, stands out as clear highlights from the year that has just passed and, at the same time, reflects the values of the Astralis organization in the right way.
"It was a pleasure to have Danish Red Cross Youth visiting. It was clear to feel the young people's interest in gaming and how much it means to them and their friends. That's why it's also important that we focus on how gaming can contribute to the development of people and create healthy digital communities – when it is facilitated in the right way," says Asger Ravn Nissen, special consultant at Astralis.
A partnership with Danish Red Cross Youth is an excellent example of the responsibility and vision integral to the Astralis DNA because gaming is a formidable instrument for creating new, positive communities. And we have a clear ambition to build bridges and let people meet in a (digital) universe regardless of background, social divides, and physical barriers.
On the server, everyone can compete on an equal footing, and with us, everyone can cultivate a shared passion for Counter-Strike. Together, we are stronger—both on and off the server.
