ELEAGUE preview – Group C – Astralis.gg
astralis at EL Season 1

The boys flew out to Atlanta on Tuesday ahead of the group stages of the second series of ELEAGUE, where reigning world champions SK Gaming, Alternate Attax and Natus Vincere stand in the way of taking a slice of the $1,100,000 prize pool.

Although a total of sixteen teams are taking part in the tournament, the boys only need to focus on their group matches on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12.

To prepare for the tournament and to get used to the style of our new in game leader Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander, the team has been busy at their week-long boot camp, where they played eight maps against four different teams in ECS Season 2.

During those matches, Astralis lost the series against EnVyUs on Nuke and Dust 2, won against Mousesports on Mirage, lost to Team Dignitas on Overpass and tied with FaZe Clan on Mirage and Overpass.

Looking ahead to the group stages, our main test will be against SK Gaming, who have won five out of six of their last ECS Season 2 North America matches and while our history favours us against Alternate Attax, we will need to be on top form to beat Na’Vi despite their recent mixed results.

The top team in the group will automatically progress to the quarter-finals and the remaining teams will fight it out for the remaining place in a series of Bo3 matches.

So far Mousesports, Faze, Virtus.Pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas have all secured their place in the quarter finals and our group and group D have yet to play.

Full group breakdown and schedule, which will be broadcast on live TV and online:
Friday, November 11 starting at 6pm ET:
